25 - 27 July Saskatoon Saskatchewan

The drive from Smithfield to Saskatoon passes through Regina, the capital of Sask. It was a pleasant and uneventful drive through the wheat and canola fields.

In Saskatoon we visited my Brother Jeff, wife Sharon and their son Jordon along with their two dogs Zeek and Mojo, a vibrant pair of weimaraners. Sadly Zeek has since passed on.

Jeff took us for a tour of the city which has doubled in size since we went to university there in the early 70's.

Just by chance I found your blog , I'm interested in the whereabouts of Smithfield near Saskatoon , I have for years tried to find it as my Grandfather enlistment papers quote Smithfield Rural Route No 3 as his address prior to him enlisting into the C.E.F 65th Saskatchewan Battn' at Saskatoon in April 1916 ....if there is a chance of giving me some more info I would be most grateful , I live in North Wales U.K please reply to
