We woke to rain and low clouds, so the days walk was a bit of a wet slog. There was a lot of down hill as we basically were going back to sea level. When we got to an old timber tram line we thought we were pretty much out of trouble until we found that parts of it were turned into a river by the rain. The photo right shows a shallow portion where I could set my pack down to get a photo. It was deeper elsewhere. We arrived at the Port Craig hut mid afternoon and set about drying our gear and feeding our selves. There was not much opportunity to eat on the track due to the rain. The hut here was quite comfy as well.

This is sunset looking north from the camp.
