Today was an undulating walk out of Honeysuckle Creek Camp ground for about 4 km followed by a steepish descent on a fire trail into Orroral Valley. After yesterday's debacle we filtered water at the Orroral creek. We then strolled up the Orroral valley until our turn towards the Cotters hut track where we had an early lunch at 11 and taped a few potential blisters.
After lunch it was a bit hot as we climbed out of the valley. We finally hit a saddle and soon turned off the track onto a foot path which meandered pleasantly through open forest until climbing steeply to Cotters Gap. Just after Cotters Gap the was a nice camp site but you need a permit so we continued down a fairly steep track to Pond Creek Flats. There we found a good tent site and a small clear running stream.
After 21 kms we were tired so we filtered water cooked our meal and went to bed.
