Yippee we made Northam (142.5 km)

We had a wonderful ride today particularly the last quarter or so along the Spencer Brook road. This is a back road into Northam which adds about 11 km to thr trip but is well worth the extra kms because it gets you off the Great Eastern Hwy and into much lighter traffic.

We left Mundaring about 9:30 and had a few light sprinkles of rain on what is a pretty section of the G.E.H. arriving at Bakers Hill at 11:45 for lunch. From there it' only a shrt ride to the Spencers Brook turn off. We'd been on that section of road before with our cycle club, so we knew it would be nice.

We hit Northam about 3 PM and got ourselves a cabin at the caravan park on the east side of town. Boy having a shower after a long ride is fantastic!

For tea tonight we are going to try to get Eagle Boys Pizza to deliver. Hope they do!
