What a day. Absolutely incredible! We did a ranger guided tour of Denali park today, which entailed getting on a bus and heading about 60 kms into the park and then doing a four hour hike up over a mountain. The walk was strenuous enough to give us a pretty good workout, and it was high, because it was cold up there. We actually had two rangers, as one had not done walks in this particular area so she was a learner. Both really knew their stuff so we had an interesting learning experience as well.
But what really blew us away was the wild life. We saw 4 grizzly bears, 2 marmots, a baby owl contemplating having his first flight, many caribou and thousands of snowshoe rabbits!
