Picture Ireland in your minds eye and that's what we walked through
today. Beautiful green patchwork fields bordered by stone fences in
rolling hills dotted with copses of oak, elm and poplar. Today was
dairy farm day, so now we finally know where Spains milk comes from.
The guide book showed a steady climb for most of the day and then a
plunge down to a bridge across a narrow lake and then into
Portomarin. In reality, we did most of the climb shortly after leaving
Sarria and then wandered along on top of the world for most of the
day.
When we hit town we were looking for a YHA hostel that was supposed to
have rooms with four beds but we couldn't find it and ended up with a
room for each couple instead. Much better!
Lee is much better today, as is Meryl and my knees are no worse, so
things are looking up!
