May 27 Estella

Another beautiful stroll in perfect weather. We had our fleeces on
until 10 because a strong cool breeze was blowing. Most of the
walking was on paths rather than roads except in the villages. For
part of the way we were walking on an ancient Roman cobbled road. Very
romantic, but kind of hard to walk on. None of the villages had coffee
until we were 8 kms from Estrella, which we thought was most
inconsiderate of the villagers!
At Estrella we got a bed and breakfast at the municipal albergue for
5.50 Euros each. It's a pleasant place with a nice sunny court yard in
the back and vending machines with coffee and chippies, highly
nutritious pilgrim food!
